Co-Founder of Global Education Group, Inc., Ms. Birch has served as President of the organization overseeing all aspects of foreign credential evaluation and work experience evaluation since 1996. Previously, Ms. Birch was Assistant Director for Evaluations and Physical Therapy Liaison at a foreign credential evaluation firm in Miami, Florida. Evaluations prepared by Ms. Birch have been accepted by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly known as the United States Immigration and Naturalization Service) since 1993. Ms. Birch has completed foreign credential evaluation reports (including transfer credit assessment) for foreign educated individuals from around the world for the following purposes since 1993: applications for immigration status with the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (formerly known as the U.S. Immigration and Naturalization Service); applications for professional licensing in various states (CPA examinations, architecture, dentistry, engineering, law, medical laboratory technology, physical therapy, teacher certification); applications for employment in U.S. government agencies (Department of Defense, Federal Bureau of Prisons, Labor Department, Office of Personnel Management); applications for service with the U.S. Armed Forces (Air Force, Army, Marines); applications for admission to U.S. high schools, colleges and universities (including transfer credit assessment); and for use by a multitude of other public and private organizations and institutions in the United States and abroad. Ms. Birch worked for the Office of Admissions at The American University in Washington, DC and has attended several professional conferences in the international education field. In addition, Ms. Birch completed a student internship at the United States Embassy of Argentina in Buenos Aires and has presented a professional seminar for U.S. university admissions officers on the educational system in Argentina. Ms. Birch taught
courses in English and United States Culture to B.U.P. and C.O.U. students at the Colegio Jesus Maestro in Madrid, Spain and completed a project on the Spanish Educational System with the assistance of the Spanish Ministry of Education and Culture. Ms. Birch also has a background in Immigration and International Trade Law and has worked for several immigration and international trade law firms in the Washington, DC area.
